Abstract:
A watching brief was undertaken during the excavation of trial pits and boreholes at a development site. Bronze age finds and an iron age settlement had been recorded in the vicinity, and two Roman roads passed nearby. During the watching brief, it was found that much of the site had been truncated. It was concluded that archaeological deposits were unlikely to have survived. [AIP]
