Abstract: |
Two sherds of medieval pottery were found in the subsoil layer on the site. An early nineteenth century feature beside the northern site boundary contained possible evidence of a collapsed adjacent stone wall. The feature was probably a ditch, but may have been a hollow-way extending from Sea View Street towards the shore. A small area of later cobbling lay above the backfilled feature. A mortared stone rubble wall fragment survived beside North Street. [Au(abr)] |
