Abstract: |
Monitoring of the groundwork revealed a simple stratigraphic sequence of deposits throughout the foundation trench system comprising dark brown silty loam (garden soil) over mid-brown silty clay over silver orange sand. No archaeological deposits/features were identified, however, a small quantity of artefacts consisting of pottery, glass bottles and metal objects dating mainly from the 17th to the 20th century was recovered from the spoil heap.
