Abstract: |
The site appeared to have lain outside the medieval borough of South Molton and was not built upon until the present century, and would have been used as pasture or meadowland. The archaeological significance of the area was deemed to have therefore been low. One area of interest was a surviving medieval hedgebank which may have had sealed and preserved archaeological deposits in the form of buried soils. [AIP] |
