Abstract: |
<summary>An EDM survey was undertaken of the industrial landscape surrounding the mill. The field survey identified traces of early mining activity in the form of hushes and shafts concentrated in the north-western part of the survey area. A number of isolated shafts were also recorded immediately north of the mill and adjacent to the flue. The majority of features recorded related to the development of the site in the late 18th century and included buildings, the dressing floor, leats, levels, reservoirs, spoil tips and trackways. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
