Abstract:
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken on the groundworks for the residential development of the site. No significant archaeological deposits were revealed though a possible ditch or pit was observed in an exposed section where a building associated with the coachyard had been demolished. From this section it was evident that much of the site was likely to have been truncated by as much as 1.2m into the natural chalk. [Au(adp)]
