Abstract: |
An extensive archaeological excavation was carried out on the site. The archaeology revealed two phases of activity, the Romano-British period and the medieval period. The Romano-British phase was characterised by the establishment of a horticultural system of formalised rectilinear bedding plots, overlain by medieval ridge and furrow. [Au(abr)] |
