Abstract:
The recording was carried out during the reduction of the floor layer at the historic Ashdown House. Four broad phases of development were identified, from pre-1759 to the aquisition of the site by the National Trust in 1956. Several in situ flagstones were noted, as well as a partition wall that separated the northern part of the Lodge from the rest of the ground floor. [Au(abr)]
