Abstract: |
A detailed survey of the building was carried out prior to refurbishment and dendrochronological dating and a watching brief were also undertaken. Development from an open hall was confirmed by the survey and timbers were dated to approximately 1430. These discoveries and others aspects of the building make it an outstanding example of a medieval town house. [Au(abr)] |
