Abstract: |
No archaeological features of importance were found in the assessment area. The Roman and prehistoric features found to the north did not continue southwards into the trench area. There was no trace of medieval ridge and furrow indicating the land use when it was part of the West Fields. The area probably having been landscaped when the 19th century buildings were constructed.
