The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 A desk based assessment of the proposed site of a residential development was undertaken. Three Neolithic implements, a Roman coin and an undated worked flint had been found in the surrounding area, and a post-medieval leat had been recorded. Post-medieval farmhouses, boundary markers and WWII air raid shelters had been noted nearby. During a site visit, a field boundary was observed which corresponded with a boundary shown on a tithe map of 1842. A 19th century farmstead, of which one standing building remained, had lain on the site. It was concluded that a field evaluation would be necessary. [AIP]
