Abstract: |
The site lay in an area of archaeological potential. The evaluation in July 2000 recovered a small assemblage of residual pottery. Subsequent excavation in November 2000 uncovered a dismantled cirular structure. A programme of palaeo-envirenomental sampling and a watching brief was started in December 2000. The watching brief continued through to May 2001 and revealed 18th century and later cellerage remains. Extensive truncation had occured on the site. [Au(abr)] |
