Abstract: |
<summary>An evaluation was carried out in advance of Stage One of the road improvement scheme known as Lewisham 2000. Nine trenches were excavated along the proposed route. Although the evaluation revealed no major discoveries, it provided the first opportunity for scientific investigation into the archaeology of Lewisham. Flint implements were found residually in later deposits, otherwise the earliest evidence uncovered related to the development of the land in the early 19th century. {italon}AIP{italoff}{spacea}{italon}SMR Primary Record Numbers:{italoff} GLSMR071122 - 071125 |
