Abstract: |
The watching brief was undertaken during the excavation of seven trial pits. Architectural study had indicated that the earliest surviving masonry of the church was of 13th century date and that considerable rebuilding (including of the chancel) had occurred in the 14th century. Evidence for two phases of foundation was observed at the north-east corner of the chancel. [Au(adp)] |
