Abstract: |
Nine trial trenches were excavated in respect of a planning application for residential development. The evaluation revealed a sequence of modern made ground sealing a modern buried topsoil which in turn overlay gravel, clay and silt river terrace deposits. Three possible linear archaeological features and two irregular features (possibly tree throws) were encountered on site. No dateable artefacts were retrieved from these features. [Au(adp)] |
