Abstract: |
Two trial trenches were excavated on the site of a proposed new forestry building. Six features were identified, a modern fence post, a relatively shallow post hole, and a row of four post holes which may have represented either a fence-line parallel with the boundary wall, or a lean-to structure against the wall and/or the adjoining building to the south. The lack of any pottery earlier than the 19th century suggested that there is little possibility of earlier features or buildings surviving within the proposed development area. [Au(adp)] |
