Abstract: |
While no known archaeological deposits were recorded from the site it lay within an area of archaeological potential and the historic core of the town and there was the potential for archaeological remains to be present. The rear of the site had been terraced into the hillside but a site visit confirmed that while the area outside of the site to the east had been basemented, however, undisturbed layers survived above the gravel within the site.
