Abstract: |
A square-ditched mound, known as Hob Hurst's House (a Guardianship Monument) was surveyed to establish the current condition of the monument. The survey revealed that repairs undertaken in 1988 had stemmed erosion, with no new eroded areas identified in the course of the survey. Deliberate damage identified comprised the removal of one small area of turf measuring 40x20 centimetres, which had been being cut from one of the repaired areas at the north-west corner of the top of the mound.
