Abstract: |
The excavation was carried out in advance of a proposed quarry extension. Two mounds with ring ditches were identified, one overlying a rutted cart track. The only dating evidence were a few sherds of 19th century pottery, however, the mounds were thought to be associated with military manoeveures in 1792, even though this could not be confirmed by this excavation.
