Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during the excavation of groundworks at a development site. Bronze age timber trackways and a fossil forest had been recorded in the area. During the watching brief, brick walls and soakaways corresponding to the backyards of late 19th century terraced housing were encountered and 18th-19th century pottery was found. It was concluded that no further archaeological intervention would be required. [AIP] |
