Abstract: |
Desk-based study to assess the archaeological implications of a proposed factory development identified a number of cropmark features on aerial photographs including some representing former field boundaries and features of unknown date and function. Several known sites within the proposal area were identified and included a woodbank of unknown date, the remains of a pheasantry, a field of medieval ridge and furrow earthworks and the ruined site of a farm complex. However, a number of these lay in woodland which would not to be affected by the development. [AIP] |
