Abstract: |
Desk-based assessment established that a site, proposed for a housing development, lay in an area in the north of Bristol in which occupation from at least the Bronze Age was known. In the 19th century the site had been located within a field which had been known as 'Limekiln Field'. In the late 1930's a Baptist Chapel was built on the site, which was later demolished in 1994. It was noted that the construction of the Baptist Chapel would have removed any archaeological features from within its footprint. [AIP] |
