Abstract: |
An appraisal of land at Picket Twenty, Andover, and a comparative appraisal of land around the northern edge of Andover, with particular attention to land east of Icknield Way and land north of Enham Lane was undertaken by Wessex Archaeology. A high degree of land utilisation was apparent, from the Bronze Age through to the post-medieval period, with widespread remains recorded for the Bronze Age, Iron Age and Romano-British periods. The Saxon period was less well represented, but concentrated in two areas. Further investigative work was recommended within the potential development areas. [Au(abr)] |
