Abstract: |
A watching brief during groundworks revealed over one hundred and twenty burials. Only fourteen of them could be dated through Victorian coffin furniture, with medieval burials possible. Unfortunately, only rapid recording of position was possible, but approximate statistics were compiled. One interesting find was a 17th or 18th century 'steeple-bottle' which may have been an anti-witching device. [AIP] |
