Abstract:		 A watching brief was undertaken during the removal of overburden from the Newington II area at Finningley Quarry. No finds were recovered although four distinct sedimentary units were recognised across the site indicative of varying environmental conditions from the cold climate of the last glaciation through to the Holocene.
