Abstract: |
The evaluation consisted of four trenches. All four trenches revealed a similar sequence of natural sand, gravel and clay deposits overlain by a probable plough soil. The plough soil was partially truncated by modern intrusions and sealed by relatively modern dumped deposits. In addition, one trench revealed two 18th century walls; several late 19th century brick walls were also found. No deposits of archaeological significance were encountered during the evaluation.
