Abstract:		 This report combined an archive and assessment document of an archaeological watching brief, evaluation and subsequent excavation. The archaeological investigation consisted of two trenches to the south of the existing house, within the proposed basemented building blocks. The trenches were excavated by machine down to 19th century deposits and structures. In the northern trench a late medieval well and pit, and a linear early medieval ditch were found beneath post-medieval buildings. An 18th century brick floored cellar was revealed overlying an earlier 17th century brick building. In the southern trench a 17th century tile floored cellar was revealed with a fireplace and chimney in its north-western corner. [Au(abr)]
