Abstract: |
A detailed gradiometer survey was carried out at two locations either within or immediatley adjacent to the corridor delimiting the route of the Baldock Bypass. At the northern site, linear anomalies were identified which if interpreted as ditches could have defined the area known to have burials which were identified in previous excavations. Indivivdual graves were not identified by the survey even when taken at close interval readings. Ditch features previously seen in trial trenches at the southern site were identified as linear anomalies on the survey results although it was unclear whether they intersected. [Au(adp)] |
