Abstract: |
Six trenches were excavated in response to proposals for new facilities. The evaluation revealed substantial footings of the former west front of the Abbey but no trace of the former north wall. A single human burial of probably medieval date and fragments of tile were noted. Later post-medieval agricultural activity was recorded, and much of the site had been truncated by later activity.
