Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was conducted in advance of a proposed development. Map regression, using maps dating from 1838-1939 identified components of the historic landscape including field boundaries and a pond. A photographic survey was taken of the upstanding features. Six trial trenches were excavated across earthwork features. The features dated from the medieval, post-medieval and modern periods. These included ridge and furrow, field boundaries and boundary ditches. No further archaeological works were recommended. [Au(adp)] |
