Abstract:		 Excavations undertaken in advance of a proposed residential development on land off Chineham Lane, Sherborne St John, Basingstoke, uncovered a number of pits and postholes of Late Bronze Age/Early Iron Age date. A small number of 19th and 20th century features, including hedgerow ditches and a hedgerow alignment were also found. Artefacts recovered from the prehistoric features indicated the presence of a domestic site of indeterminate type. [Au]
