Abstract: |
Observation of soil stripping for a housing development in September 1994 revealed no features belonging to the Romano-British settlement found on the site by an evaluation in 1991. The foundations were piled to minimise damage to archaeological deposits. Some remains of a 19th century building, probably a smithy known to have occupied the site, were recorded.[AIP] |
