Abstract: |
Ten test pits were excavated for geotechnical examination of soil formations. One of the main interests for the watching brief related to the location generally being a quarry and brickworks in the early to mid-19th century. Some of the lower deposits contained small fragments of brick and carbonaceous material, which may have been remnants of the earlier perceived use of the site as a brickworks. No archaeological features were observed. [Au(abr)] |
