Abstract: |
Three 4 metre square trenches were excavated within the 18th century barn at Little Kendals Farm. A number of earlier phases of flooring were observed, most notable was a chalk floor with associated postholes for ?stalls, and a compacted clay layer. None of the layers predated the barn and no evidence of earlier in situ archaeological remains were revealed. [AIP] |
