Abstract: |
The evaluation identified archaeological deposits which suggested that the area to the north of Mill Street was regularly flooded by the river until the late medieval period. The first signs of occupation of the area were of 17th century date, while the site was developed by the mid 18th century as part of the expansion of Kidderminster. The results of the evaluation particularly demonstrated the potential of the area for the survival of well preserved artefactual remains because of waterlogging, including an artefact associated with textile manufacturing . |
