Abstract: |
A watching brief over groundworks for a new pipeline showed that no archaeological remains were disturbed. The pipe trench was cut through topsoil only, and any archaeological features present in the area may still have been preserved beneath the topsoil. Archaeological deposits in the vicinity of Elmore Abbey, if once present, are likely to have been truncated by the building of the Abbey complex. [Au(abr)] |
