Abstract: |
The sit was intended for major development that would seriously impact the archaeological remains in the area. Fourteen trenches were excavated, with ten containing late medieval structures or deposits. The remaining four showed features asscociated with the later post-medieval phase of brewing and sugar refining industry. No direct evidence was found for street surfaces as these had been removed during the construction of the extant standing buildings. [Au(abr)] |
