Abstract: |
The archaeological potential was identified by aerial photography that revealed a cropmark of an enclosure of probable prehistoric date. Other features including a ditch were identified through geophysical survey. Three quarry sites had been infilled or destroyed during the construction of the poultry farm. Two 'bell pits', probably trail pits for coal, were identified, along with two removed hedgebanks. [Au(adp)] |
