Abstract: |
All of the deposits seen during the excavation of the foundation trenches for the extension of the existing nursery related to activity which post-dated the occupation of the Hull Citadel. This included evidence for the slighting of the Citadel in 1864-5, along with subsequent use of the land as railway sidings associated with the Victoria Dock timber yards from c.1877 onwards. The latest deposits encountered were modern and related to the landscaping of the site. [Au(abr)] |
