Abstract:		 Desk-based study supported by preliminary field survey was undertaken for a number of mining sites as part of the Kerrier District Council Shaft Capping Contract 7, funded under the Derelict Land Grant Scheme. Ten shafts were assessed at the three mining sites of Victoria Park, Trefusis (part of Wheal Sparnon and Pedn an Drea); Wheal Grenville (part of Grenville United); and Wheal Fortune (part of Great Wheal Fortune).
