Abstract: |
The watching brief was undertaken during the demolition and reconstruction of buildings on the site. The site was thought to lie within the boundaries of the medieval Carmelite Friary, formerly situated on the south side of Whitefriargate and to the north of Posterngate. The brief only identified areas of 18th - 19th century waste dumping activity. [AIP] |
