Abstract: |
The assessment was carried out in response to proposals for residential development of the site. No prehistoric or Roman remains were seen to be present at the site, which lay outside the medieval settlement of Chipping Sodbury and appeared to be agricultural land untial the late post-medieval period. It was believed that a World War II pillbox or gun emplacement was located within the study area. [Au(abr)] |
