Abstract: |
<summary>Following a preliminary assessment of the archaeological potential, a programme of fieldwalking and observation was carried out during the construction of the water pipeline. The discovery of so little prehistoric material suggested that no sites were disturbed by construction. The opportunity arose to investigate two small abandoned settlements, shown on a 19th century tithe map. They both lay along disused trackways which, from the Medieval period, linked communities. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
