Abstract:		 The monitoring of a rectangualr pit sited within the area of the Scheduled Ancient Monument (SM 28131/01) comprising The Sanctuary of The Avenue, elements of the prehistoric ceremonial complex of Avebury, revealed no in situ archaeological deposits or features. Modern pottery was reovered from the lower part of the deposit sequence.[Au(abr)]
