An archaeological watching brief was carried out on water main rehabilitation. The pipeline crossed the SAM Margidunum, a known Roman settlement but as the work was kept to the bounds of the original pipeline route, no archaeology was encountered. Outside of the SAM though Roman artefacts were recovered. [Au(abr)] |
