Abstract: |
A watching brief was undertaken on building works in the grounds of the hospital. Three areas were subject to excavations. In area A walls of an unknown date were uncovered, these were partially being used as foundations for the present building. The walls continued into in area B where they met a further wall. In area C deposits suggested possible occupation in the vicinity although no structural evidence was found. Two pieces of medieval pottery were recovered from this area. [Au(abr)] |
