A series of test pits identified limited truncation within the proposed development area with the marl natural recorded. Within the confines of test pits 5 and 8 archaeological features were recorded, comprising two separate and distinct east-west aligned ditches. These were ascribed to the 12th century AD from fragments of pottery recovered from both features. [Au(abr)] |
