Abstract: |
Recorded observation of a trench excavated during construction work in the Corn Exchange revealed stratified deposits probably dating from at least as early as the medieval period. A stone surface, probably representing part of a substantial floor belonging to a large building, was seen in the northern side of the trench. [AIP] |
