Abstract: |
The evaluation was undertaken in connection with a planning application for the erection of a dwelling. The only evidence of occupation, other than that of modern date, was a small pit, dated by its finds to between the late 17th and mid 18th century. A wall found in trench 2 aligned closely with the rear of the gable end of the adjacent property. This suggested that it may have been the foundation of the rear wall of the building formerly standing on this plot, with a 20th century concrete yard to outbuilding floor outside it to the north.
