Abstract: |
The excavation of the test pits exposed the base of what were assumed to be the 18th century cellar foundation walls. It appeared that the walls had not been constructed on top of earlier structures. A layer of very dark ashy soil from which artefacts dated to the late-17th and early 18th centuries were recovered was also exposed. [Au(abr)] |
